Led by Resident Physician, Dr. Brandon Ingalls, the Department of Emergency Medicine spent a day “constructing” a house in the Pullman neighborhood on the south side of Chicago. What we lacked in construction skills, we made up for in enthusiasm!

Cook County faculty and residents took part in SNMA Regional Meetings and local medical student panels encouraging the recruitment of underrepresented minorities into healthcare careers.
Cook County residents have participated in simulation training to further the mission of the Chicago Minority Medical Students Emergency Medicine Program. The Program is designed to promote Emergency Medicine as a career option for underrepresented minorities and LGBTQ second year medical students.
Cook County Emergency Medicine residents spoke at the DRW College Prep School Career Day to students. They spoke about their experiences working in healthcare and answered questions from the students.
